Saurav Ganguly to become ICC President: Source
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah are now going to start a new inning. Ganguly can be seen in the role of ICC President from November. At the same time, Jay Shah will be the President of BCCI. BCCI sources have informed NDTV Sports about this.
Sources have told that top BCCI officials are supporting Ganguly. If Ganguly manages to get the ICC vote, he will vacate the BCCI seat. Thereafter, the current BCCI secretary Jay Shah is likely to become the president and Arun Dhumal as the secretary.

Barclay’s term ends in November
The tenure of current ICC chairman Gregor Barclay ends in November. If he leaves his post without seeking another 2-year term, the ICC will get a new chairman. However, after the ICC Annual Conference in Birmingham, Barkley said, ‘Yes, my term ends in November. So I am eligible for 2 more years term and I am available for re-election if the member wishes.’
Ganguly and Jay Shah’s tenure is coming to an end
The Supreme Court on Wednesday approved the change in the cooling-off period of the BCCI. After this decision, the current president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah got the maximum benefit. At present, five office bearers including BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, and Jay Shah have completed 6 years in the board and state body.
Sourav Ganguly became the President of BCCI on 23 October 2019. Prior to this, he became the Secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal in 2014, then in 2015, he got the post of President. Similarly, Jay Shah became the Joint Secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association in 2014.
It is said that his term started on September 8, 2013. That is, from September 2013 to October 2019, he was associated with the Gujarat Cricket Association. After this, he took over the post of BCCI Secretary on 24 October 2019.
