PCB issues statement after Shahid Afridi claims Shaheen Afridi paid for his own recovery
Shahid Afridi has claimed that Pakistan’s star bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is recuperating in Britain, is paying her own expenses.
Shaheen Shah Afridi is good to go again to visit the Pakistan side for the T20 World Cup as the star pacer was earlier named for the huge competition in Australia which will start in October.
He suffered a knee injury that ruled him out of the entire Asia Cup before going to the Unified Realm to recuperate last month.
“Shaheen Afridi went to Britain all by himself. He was paid for his own plane ticket. He is staying in Britain on his own cash. I organized a specialist for him and then he got to the specialist when he got there. PCB hasn’t “I didn’t do anything,” Afridi said in this mood on TV Samaa.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Load up (PCB) was mercilessly lambasted by fans for not paying for Shaheen’s recovery as he was injured while in a public place. The PCB has now responded to the cases saying it was unaware that Shaheen had gone to Britain.
PCB said on Friday it would discredit Afridi’s cases, saying the cricket board was forever responsible for the clinical assessment of Pakistan players.
“Moreover fulfilled to help and resuscitate that Shaheen Shah Afridi is making exceptional progress in his rebuilding in London and is reserved to make a full recovery in time for the 2022 Men’s World T20 in Australia.
“It follows that the PCB has been and will continue to be responsible for organizing the clinical consideration and recovery of any of its players who require any treatment,” the PCB said in a statement.
The PCB also said that the specialists overseeing Shaheen’s recovery will also treat Fakhar Zaman, who will travel to London for treatment on the knee injury he sustained during the 2022 Asia Cup.
The disclosure happened not long after Pakistan’s T20 World Cup crew was declared where boss selector Muhammad Wasim had expressed that they had gotten ’empowering reports’ over the advancement of Shaheen, adding that he is “liable to continue bowling right on time one month from now”.
Paying attention to Shahid’s stunning disclosure during his meeting with ARY news, Akram thought that PCB’s position towards Shaheen was unjustifiable and that the youth ought to have been allowed the best specialist for his treatment.
