Newcastle reportedly spent roughly 59 million pounds ($70.03 million) to buy the 22-year-old, according to British media. The clubs did not divulge the amount. Newcastle spent over 40 million pounds for Bruno Guimaraes in January and Joelinton in 2019.

After Nick Pope, Matt Targett, and Sven Botman, Isak is Newcastle’s fourth significant acquisition since the end of the regular season. “I think everyone would want to play for this fantastic, storied club, which has incredible supporters. They had a significant role in my decision to move here, along with the club’s concept, which Isak added in a statement, “I genuinely believe in.

“You should always be acquainted with a team’s style of play before joining them. The game Newcastle plays, in my opinion, is really appealing, and I want to be a part of it. The 6-foot-4 attacker, who has played 37 times and scored nine goals since making his national team debut in 2017, has established himself as a mainstay in Sweden’s front line. He made 132 appearances for Real Sociedad, scoring 44 goals.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe praised the player as “an extraordinary talent who is capable of making a significant impact to the squad.” He is technically extremely strong and possesses a variety of qualities that will compliment us, but he is also in a terrific age range to develop with this team.

After three games, Newcastle is sixth in the standings and will play their next league match on Sunday away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
