Lanka Premier League is a popular cricket tournament with its headquarters located in Sri Lanka. The game is played under the supervision of Sri Lanka Cricket. The cricket format is Twenty20 in which the first version of the game begins in 2020. The most recent version of the tournament will begin in 2021. The Lanka Premier League was started in 2020, which means there have only been two seasons so far. It’s interesting to see it was the Jaffna Franchise won the title each time. Jaffna Stallions won in 2020 and Jaffna Kings won in 2021. The best part is that they beat Galle Gladiators both in the finals.
Danushka Gunathilaka was named the leading run-scorer for the 2020 season, scoring 476 runs. Likewise, Evans was ranked second by scoring 289 runs. The spinners had the upper hand on the charts of wicket-taking during the last season as well. Wanindu hasaranga ranked on top, with 17 wickets, while Dhananjaya Lakshan took 13 wickets.
